It’s 2019. The premier class Supercross champion was born well into Jeremy McGrath’s first reign in the stadiums. The majority of motocross bikes are no longer two-strokes but four-strokes. The Big Tobacco sponsorship of series and teams has been replaced by energy drink companies. And the Fox Zebra LE Collection is back.
The Fox Zebra LE Collection
Big hair. Loud guitars. Works bikes. Who didn’t love the Eighties? To celebrate that era, Fox Racing are bringing back the iconic “Zebra” colourway. First debuted by Rick Johnson in ’88, and later worn by the likes of Damon Bradshaw and James Stewart, the Zebra print goes deep into the brand’s history. Now, you can earn your stripes with the Fox Zebra LE Collection.
After teasing riders with a throwback post, it was announced that one of the most iconic designs and colourways is back. That’s because some kits are timeless. While the print and attitude are the same, the gear has come a long way. That’s thanks to Fox and Moto-X Lab taking motocross gear to new levels, not just with the 360, 180, Airline and Legion lines, but also the Flexair kit.
Both ends of the spectrum are available in the Fox Zebra LE Collection. The 180 option is a total throwback, with the design, cut and colourway staying true to the original gearset. The top tier Flexair kit also receives the wild treatment, but is much less a throwback and more post-modern racewear, which gives props to a legacy that continues to inspire.
Remember, the LE is an acronym for “Limited Edition” – and this release is just that – so don’t miss out on what is one of the hottest kits of the season. The Fox Racing Zebra LE Collection is available now from your local stockist. That means it’s time to earn your stripes.
