If you’re browsing The Fast Times, chances are you’ll be more than familiar with Leatt, as well as the brand’s reputation. It’s a reputation that started with the pioneering development of the first moto neck brace, and continued with the knee braces, helmets, riding gear and, now, the all-new Leatt Velocity 6.5 goggles.
The all-new Leatt Velocity 6.5 Goggles
Leatt Protectives is a business built around designing, developing and producing protective equipment for those who favour two wheels, whether it’s moto or bicycles.
Founded by Dr. Chris Leatt in 2001, Chris has headed the R&D, ensuring every product with the Leatt logo on it is “backed by science” with the ultimate mission of saving lives.
With continued success in neck, head, back and limb protection, Leatt has turned its attention to vision, as riding a bike becomes very difficult without sight.
Introducing the Leatt Velocity 6.5 goggles, a range that provides the ultimate in eye protection while still being comfortable and stylish. The Velocity 6.5 goggles meet all the design criteria Leatt put in place when developing the new offering in eye protection
Nothing in life is perfect, but the unique combination of safety, optically correct lenses, optimal fit and overall aesthetics make these pretty damn close.
The Velocity 6.5 uses a military-spec 2.7mm bulletproof lens with 170-degree wide vision and a permanent anti-fog function that’s built into the inner lens polymer. That seriously specced lens fits in a dual-density frame with triple-layer, dual-density foam and anti-sweat fleece backing, making for the perfect seal that’s also comfortable for long periods on a bike. While protection should always be the most important feature of any piece of gear, comfort should be up there, and the Velocity 6.5 delivers on both.
