If you have dirt in your blood, you’ll know there are a few highlights on the moto calendar in Aotearoa. But you’ll also know that it all comes down to one: the New Zealand Motocross Championship AKA the 2019 Fox NZ MX Nationals. It’s the series that crowns the national champions of each class, from MX1, to MX2 and National 125cc, and has been live-streamed since 2018. By tuning in, you won’t miss a thing – except a bit of sunburn, the smell of race gas and a sweet view of the mountain – with all the action and reaction of the season opener kicking off at 9.45am on Sunday, February 3.

Support the supporters
Here’s to the rad sponsors for making the series and live stream happen: Mach 1 Yamaha, Suzuki New Zealand, MXT, Pirelli, Aon, Yamaha Motor New Zealand, Doctor B Signage, Blue Wing Honda, I-Film, and Image Centre Group – plus, Motorcycling New Zealand and Fox Racing.
From Burt Munro rocketing across the salt of Bonneville, to Tim Gibbes scrambling behind the Iron Curtain and Ben Townley standing on podiums in Europe and the United States, you could say that Aotearoa has a rich history when it comes to motorcycling on the dirt. That’s why the continuation of the live stream is a huge positive for New Zealand moto, which wouldn’t happen without the support of these brands, companies and the people behind the scenes.
So, if we don’t see you there (on the bunting or on the gate), we’ll see you here, right? It’s time to get with the times – you know, The Fast Times – to help spread the shred.
Learn it. Know it. Live it.
